Scientific Journal of Medical Sciences Sci J Iranshahr Univ Med Sci 10.58209/sjms 2022 1 2 Effect of Infant Massage Therapy with Field Technique by Mother on the Level of Attachment of Primiparous Mothers and Infant Behavior S. Kohestani solmazkohestani@yahoo.com Z. Mirkazehi mirkazehi1397@mums.ac.ir Aims: Breast milk is the best nutrition for the baby because it has numerous health benefits for the mother and baby. Massage is used as a routine part of infant care in many cultures. This study aimed to investigate the effect of massage therapy with field technique by the mother on the level of maternal attachment and infant behavior in infants. Instrument & Methods: This clinical trial was performed in 2016 on 54 primiparous women with vaginal delivery referring to Imam Reza (AS) and Umm ul-Banin (AS) hospitals in Mashhad. Mothers who underwent the intervention from the first to ten first days after delivery used to massage their babies for 15 minutes every day. The control group received no intervention. Maternal and neonatal attachment levels and neonatal infant behavior after delivery in the first and tenth days after delivery were assessed in both intervention and control groups. Findings: The mean attachment score in the intervention group on the tenth day after delivery was higher than in the control group (p=0.001). Changes in infant behavior in infants were 16.24 in the massage group and 10.74 in the non-massage group. Using the Wilcoxon test, changes in infant behavior between the two groups were statistically significant, and changes in infant behavior in infants in the massage group were better (p=0.001). Conclusion: Massage of the baby by the mother increases the degree of attachment between mother and baby after delivery and is effective on the frequency and duration of breastfeeding.   Massage Infant Breastfeeding Behavior Scale attachment 2022 3 01 53 59 http://sjiums.irshums.ac.ir/article-1-4-en.pdf

Scientific Journal of Medical Sciences Sci J Iranshahr Univ Med Sci 10.58209/sjms 2022 1 2 The Effect of Nursing Continuous Care on Self-Management in Patients with Myocardial Infarction M.A. Zakeri Ma.zakeri115@gmail.com F. Abazari f_abazari@kmu.ac.ir Z. Khoshnood khoshnood.tmu@gmail.com M. Dehghan m_dehghan86@yahoo.com Aims: Self-management is considered an important factor for change of behavior and health care to reduce disability in patients with myocardial infarction (MI). Continuous care model (CCM) is a plan that improves knowledge, practice, and attitude of patients toward health care. This study aimed to investigate the effect of CCM on self-management in patients with MI. Instrument & Methods: This study was a controlled trial conducted on patients with MI, admitted to cardiac care units in one of the eastern cities of Iran. 82 eligible patients were selected and randomly assigned into two groups of CCM and control. In the intervention group, 4 to 6 educational sessions (1 to 2 hours) with a follow up period were conducted. The mean score of self-management was assessed in both groups at the beginning of the study, after training and after follow-up of the model. Findings: Mean score of self-management significantly decreased in both intervention and control groups immediately after the implementation of CCM and follow up of the study (P < 0.001). Considering that in the questionnaire, the lower score indicates a better situation, there was a significant difference between the two groups at different times regarding self-management score. After the study, the self-management score in the follow-up care group was significantly lower than that of the control group. Conclusion: Implementation of CCM is recommended to improve self-management skills in patients with MI, and further studies are needed in other chronic patients. Shariat Moghani s_shariat47@yahoo.com R. Saeidi Saeedir@sbmu.ac.ir Aims: The recent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak became a global health concern in 2020 and the effect this novel coronavirus disease is still unclear on pregnant women. The present systematic review aimed to study the relationship between COVID-19 in pregnant women and development of preterm birth. Instrument & Methods: A systematic search of the published literature in PubMed, Scopus, and Google scholar was performed on every article addressing pregnant women regardless of the age or gestational age who were confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 who gave birth and developed any type of neonatal adverse outcomes were included. Findings: Seventeen studies entered the present systematic review from America, Europe, and Asia. A total number of 6251 deliveries from COVID-19 women were evaluated by these studies before excluding the possible studies with overlapping populations. The most common neonatal complication was preterm labor (11.9%). Other complications reported in more than one study included stillbirth (0.7%), PROM (12%), SGA (4%), and PPROM (5.4%). Moreover, the overall NICU admission was 173 neonates (25.2%). Conclusion: Without considering the COVID-19 severity in pregnant women, the rate of preterm delivery as the most common neonatal complication is approximately 12% of live births which slightly greater than the previously reported global preterm rate in 2020. preterm birth COVID-19 pregnancy 2022 3 01 75 81 http://sjiums.irshums.ac.ir/article-1-21-en.pdf

Scientific Journal of Medical Sciences Sci J Iranshahr Univ Med Sci 10.58209/sjms 2022 1 2 Determining the Frequency of Community-Acquired Urinary Tract Infection and Their Antibiotic Resistance in the Laboratories of Ahvaz City for One Year R. Nashibi roohangizenashibi@yahoo.com F. Ahmadi ahmadi-f@ajums.ac.ir A. Amiri Kondari amirii.ali72@gmail.com Aims: Urinary tract infection is one of the most common infections in humans, and despite the proper response to treatment, improper use of antibiotics has created resistance among some bacterial strains. This study examines the contribution of each of these strains to the resistance created by each of them. Instrument & Methods: In this study, 3480 results of urine culture tests were collected, and their antibiograms and ages and gender of the patients were analyzed. The information was collected for 1 year in Ahvaz city. The antibiotic resistance of each urinary tract infection was evaluated separately. Findings: The urinary tract infections had a higher prevalence among women (77.2%) than men (22.8%). Urinary tract infections were more common in people aged 26-35. Among the organisms that cause urinary tract infections, Escherichia Coli and Coagulase-negative staphylococcus had the largest share. The resistance of Escherichia Coli to Cefalotin, Cefixime, Ceftriaxone, Tobramycin, and Gentamicin was 62.5%, 62.2%, 57.4%, 21.7%, and 20.6%, respectively. Conclusion: Due to the higher prevalence of urinary tract infections among women, a woman with suspicious symptoms should be treated more rigorously, and according to the status of the urine culture, the treatment will change. Escherichia Coli has been reported to be the most common cause of urinary tract infections, and the best response was observed in patients with Ciprofloxacin or Ofloxacin, Ceftazidime, and Amikacin.   2022 3 01 83 86 http://sjiums.irshums.ac.ir/article-1-33-en.pdf
